Birket's Bytes

On November 14th, HP made an announcement about the HP e3000 having an end of support life December 31, 2006 so we had an opportunity to create a program for customers who wanted assistance in planning the transition. Entitled "Should I stay, or should I go" the seminar is delivered over the web, or at a customer site. The presentation frames the decision process and possible paths a customer should examine dependant on their organization's circumstances. <<Read the full story>>

Migration Services

With HP announcing the end of support for the HP e3000, companies face the daunting challenge of how and where to begin. Unlike the animal kingdom where birds instinctively know where to migrate to, HP e3000 owners are not only unsure of where they are supposed to be migrating to, but how.

Specialists in "Data Access, Transformation and Delivery" for over 15 years, MB Foster realizes that no two companies are the same. To assist you in transitioning your data off the HP e3000, MBF has developed flexible migration solutions packages. <<Lead the way>>

MBF is now "virtually" everywhere

In an effort to keep connected to our HP e3000 customers during these evolutionary times, MBF has adopted the use virtual Web seminars technology to provide our customers with "just in time" informative seminars free from the comfort of their own office chair.

The first in a series of 'Migration and Transitioning Off the HP e3000' saw MBF partnering with Allegro to deliver 4 well-attended Webinars on "Transition and Migration Planning." The Webinar focused on the high level implications the HP e3000 migration will have, the initial steps, the questions and the resources. A Q&A section at the end of the presentation allowed customers and MBF the opportunity to discuss specific issues in further detail.

"By employing Webinars, MB Foster can improve and enhance our customer service in a very cost-efficient method both to our clients and MBF," says George Marcinek, President and CEO. "The only requirement from our customer is the ability to connect to the Internet using IE Version 5.0 and the telephone when audio-conferencing is required."

Customer Training goes on-line at 1800Answers.com

The World Wide Web has changed the way we do business. MB Foster was determined to take advantage of the Internet and look for ways to compliment our existing training. After researching other training facilities and options, MBF chose the Internet as their tool of choice for delivering an easy, no-hassle way to train or refresh our customers' product knowledge in an informal environment.

By April 2002, MBF maintained customers would be able to go on-line to 1800Answers.com and register for scheduled Express Series Training. The Series are designed to orient and successfully integrate the MBF products into your company's production environment.

The on-line series will not replace the current on-site consultation and training that we currently offer, but rather will serve to enhance these existing services.

Check our website in the spring for more information about pricing, scheduling and course selection.
